Excited

Basil showed us up yesterday as well as making a point about household cleanliness. I've never known him to be as sick as he was, all over the hearth rug of our hosts, twice. Well, the second time was on a tiled floor.

He'd been banished to a neighbouring flat at night for the duration of our stay, was not allowed upstairs to our bedroom and don't even think about jumping on to the couch.

He'd been impeccably behaved and was evidently enjoying being amongst a lot of people. We tried giving him a worming tablet crushed into a small lump of cheese. The worming tablet was due. The cheese must have been the trigger. I had no idea of what to say to our hosts when he took centre stage. I didn't even realise when he'd puked again but did make a gesture towards clearing it up.

All seemed well this morning. We packed up and caged Basil in the car. He always moans when we set off because he just wants to get to the service station to have a look around. New smells and sights are always exciting. Here he is giving me the 'teeth,' while my backside was getting wet outside a Starbucks. You must agree, he has a lovely smile.
