Blooming Pregnant Onion

My friend Danny of the green thumb gave me this plant which is a member of the hyacinth family.  After two years in a pot doing nothing, I put it in the yard this summer..it did not die, in spite of me.  Now after all the rain we have had and the warm weather, it has a bud!  I am so excited.

Keeping my fingers crossed that it blooms before our colder weather arrives this weekend (finally!!!)!
