Ramblings and Mutterings

Packed Shed

Well a much quieter day yesterday, in more ways than one.

Spoilt for choice for sport on Boxing Day as Neath and the Cardiff Devils were playing, unfortunately they clashed so I picked the traditional Neath v Aberavon Boxing Day game.  And what a game!

Aberavon came steaming out of the blocks and took a significant early lead, but slowly and surely Neath clawed their way back into the game.  From there on in it was who was going to want the result more, and for a while we thought it was Neath as they romped away for a try towards the end of the game, to take a lead of 26-20.  Sadly we lost our heads a bit then and gave penalties away which gave Aberavon possession and territory right on our line.  Unsurprisingly they got the try, but luckily were unable to convert leaving a 26 all draw.

Given the way results have gone this year you’d think we’d have been happy with a draw, but having gone so close and deserved the win it was gutting!

Good to see the shed packed though.
