The old apple tree

Mr A has been busy tidying up the old apple tree in our garden. It was old when we moved in nearly 30 years ago, but in recent years it has taken on a somewhat drunken slant - it is now hanging right over to the left at 45 degrees and the weight of the large branches on that side were hastening its decline. Hopefully, this trim will prolong its life so that it may continue to provide us with wonderful cooking apples.

Other than that it has been a relaxing day pottering about the house.
