Punishment

Today, our stay at the Grandparents came to an end and on the way home, we stopped at Ikea for meatballs and to collect a few household items. Before leaving home this morning, I asked whether Grandpa and Grandma would be joining us to Ikea. I gather Grandma was quite keen on the idea but from what I can make out, Grandpa less so. He eloquently framed his enthusiasm for the forthcoming experience as ‘feeling like punishment for having a nice Christmas’. I couldn’t agree more, although the children seemed to differ whilst exploring all the bedrooms.
