Sheltering from Frank

Frank has not been too bad so far with the strongest gust of just over 50mph but only 3mm. of rain since midnight. Much worse further north I believe.

He caught me out however on my way back from the paper shop with a sudden squall. I took refuge in Arnside's Parish Church of St. James.

I certainly thought of those unlucky people further north who have suffered so much from our recent storms. I did not pray, however, as I do not believe that anyone other than myself would be listening.

Those from past centuries who did believe that kindly provided me with a blip.

I now realise why our winter storms are being given names. It is so that in our blame culture there is a named person to blame.
