Jodrell Bank

We visited our Doreen in her work today, mainly cos we felt sorry for her as we are all off still. We popped into town for lunch at Whetherspoons then had a wander round the place while Doreen returned for her afternoon shift.
We saw Jodrell Bank on the way and thought about paying a visit later on, or even tomorrow as time was not on our side. This is the closest we have been to Jodrell Bank though I do recall going past it on a canal boat once along the 5 counties route near Middlewich a couple of decades ago.  It was "pitch black" when we arrived and as we missed the visiting time by an hour and a half it mean standing in a field while waiting for such a long exposure to finish. I was quite surprised with the amount of detail in the sky once I RAW processed the image in-camera. The stars could also be seen too. We must return.......

Back home it was the usual post-Christmas business: finishing off the Christmas dinner meats, buffet stuff, cheeses, Cadbury's Rolls and the Chedders while watching a load of catch-up Christmas TV. All with a couple of beers of course.
