Taking a dive

Why did I think that going back to work today would be easy....?  Very naive of me.    
Brushing over that, this is an emergency blip of Mr Thompson, or is it Mr Thomson,  from the Tin Tin stories.  They both look the same to me. He sits on our TV stand preparing to dive away from all that dust that has accumulated behind him.   Or maybe he is praying I will get  my feather duster out.
