The night before Christmas.

I love Christmas eve...the best part of Christmas I feel. Today involved the children's Nativity play complete with live donkey in church (always an unpredictable event...what was that about not working with children or animals?)  Later there is Midnight Mass, peaceful and moving, and a walk home under the stars in the early hours of Christmas morning to a mince pie and glass of port. Lovely.
