I took this photograph because it is so unusual to see cattle in a field in January in the west of Scotland...and the sun was shining. The weather has been so mild that the grass is growing...and yes, it's a bit wet underfoot but the farmers can save a lot of money by grazing the cattle if they can.
Worth having a wee look at the hill...just to the left of centre at the top you can see two small rectangles. This was a look out post in WW2 to spot German bombers. It's all sealed up now but I believe there are a couple of small rooms in the hill where those on duty were able to take care of themselves.
