Bearded Beauty

or "This time you don't get away!"

We all have images that we want to photograph, for a landscape photographer, it's simply a case of travelling to a location, waiting for the right light and shooting away, similar factors are present for portraits, and other facets of photography.

In wildlife photography however there is an added aspect in that you also have to locate your subject, which is not always a simple matter, as any one that has tried will testify.

I have been trying to get images of a Bearded tit for at least the last five years, without success, and finally managed to get most of the required pieces in place today.

This is a recently fledged juvenile bird at Newport Wetlands NNR, where over the years I have "seen" a lot of birds but never in a position to photograph, this image is not the best that I took today but I feel it shows a bit of the flighty nature of these birds, (will edit some links to other images later when I have finished processing)
