Valley of protest

Before and after yesterday's match between Charlton and Nottingham Forest, I joined a large numbers of Charlton supporters in an orderly but very powerful protest against the current owner and management of the club. It's a complicated situation to get across in a few words, but if you want to find out more, this Guardian article contains a helpful brief summary. During the campaign, supporters have taken to wearing black and white scarves to matches, as part of the campaign for the current regime to "spell it out in black and white" (i.e. what their intentions for the club are). This photo shows a black and white scarf draped around the statue of legendary Charlton goalkeeper Sam Bartram.
