The Angel in the Sky

A rather dreich day outside but we went for a run to the Quay.  Took lots of shots but this one taken through a rain-drenched windscreen turned out as the most outstanding.  The winged Angel which heads the Angel Building, Paisley Road Toll where the Govan Road meets Paisley Road West, was built circa 1889, as Ogg Brothers Drapery Warehouse. The Angel’s official name is “Commerce and Industry”.  Today the building comprises of flats and “La Fiorentina” Italian restaurant, and is a well-known landmark in Glasgow.  Hope you have a relaxed evening.
