It Had To Be Done ...

...sometime.  
The rain never stopped, Polly refused to venture out beyond a quick trot around the garden - and who could blame her.  Thought we might make a start of de-Christmassing Maison MD - but we like to keep the tree and some trimmings up until 12th night - so the cards were the victims.
Very sad in many ways - not only do they often contain the only contact with some friends and relations from one year to the next - but the cards themselves are excellent works of art.  Lovely photographs and drawings by talented artists - creative designs and clever 3D cut-out cards - all consigned to the re-cycle bin.
Oh - 'twas ever thus :-(
