Turrón

Christmas celebrations are not over in Spain! We will continue our 'fiestas' until Wednesday 6th January; Day of the 3 Kings, Dia de Los Reyes Magos.........
My Blip today is showing 3 types of turrón, ......most Spanish families will eat Turrón during the fiestas.
Turron is made in our area, Alicante Province, from locally grown almonds.....with honey and sugar.....and is eaten as a traditional dessert throughout Spain and in some former Spanish colonies, now independent countries, in South America.
These tablets of turron were given to us, as a Christmas gift, from our bank .....(banks aren't generally known for giving Christmas gifts to their 'regular' clients!!.....so I thought it was worth mentioning!)
