Sandbagged

I drove Alys down to York today, in heavy rain nearly all the way.

Here in York, after the terrible scenes of flooding we've all seen on the news, it's good to see the waters have receded and even better to see how quickly this wonderful old city has got back to "business as usual".

I took this beside the River Ouse. As you can see it's still raining, but the water is now well below the level of the sandbag protection.
