FISH & CHIPS

Not my usual blip I know, and I haven't suddenly taken up knitting to keep Myfanwy company.

She is involved with a whole bunch of other women who are knitting for babies in Africa, they are known as 'Fish and chips' babies because when they're born and leave hospital they're wrapped in newspaper. The families cannot afford to clothe them so these little knitted outfits are provided for the baby and are knitted in bright or dark colours as they are often unable to be washed.
Today the knitters met in a bar, and 128 outfits were collected ready to be sent on their way to Africa
