The last straw

After yesterday's "second Christmas", I needed to recover from all the calories, so I took a walk up Merton Pike in the Pennines this morning. Just before I left the house I thought "mustn't forget the camera" Then I forgot it! and no phone either. So a good, although brief walk up to the top in winds as high as any I've ever walked in. Then back down and home. It was good to get the exercise, and equally good to get home for the warm cuppa!

So today's blip - the last straw - well, the last straws: A pack of plastic drinking straws held together with a rubber band, propped on a studio light and photographed with a macro lens. Simple, but quite effective.
