Urban decline

Met up with my best friend from university for a meal tonight; though we only live about half an hour apart, we do not see each other enough. Incentivised by a Groupon voucher for an unknown Indian restaurant, we turned up at this sad parade of shops. A few years back, this was a thriving little place, so it was sad to turn up and see it all grey and boarded up.
I took one look at the restaurant and nearly fled; we were the only people in there. Very sad, a young asian couple had recently taken over, the food was excellent but in this desolate setting, I doubt they can succeed, shame.
