One daze at a time...

Acid rain

The Grans knew about it.
They'd read about it in the Southsider. Heavy showers of undiluted hydrochloric acid were to be expected over Dun Laoghaire for most of the day.
They'd packed their anti-hydrochloric acid umbrella before going on their daily pilgrimage of the local €1 Euro Dealz Bargain Shops.

The under 70s on the other hand seemed to be caught totally unaware.

That will teach them to ignore the gems of information buried deep inside the pages of the Southsider.
