I thought I better get back to my blip mission of photographing the power boxes around town.
Did you know there are political undertones to this painting?  The possum is dressed in the style of Captain James Cook whose voyages of discovery in the South Pacific lead to New Zealand being colonized by the British.  They  introduced pests like the possum which are a threat to our native bush.  That is my new learning from the internet today.
