Permission granted

My mum's next door neighbour didn't see me awake until I was one year old. I'm told all I did was sleep, eat and laugh.

I spend a lot of time sleeping, napping, daydreaming, contemplating my navel and not doing very much.

No matter I've sometimes been called lazy, I've always found it restorative. It makes me happy and fills me with what I need to be everything else I am too. Which is often busy, productive, active, competitive and really energetic.

I'm one person who's struck a very happy balance and who is perfectly content being busy doing something. Or nothing. I need them both. Equally.


When I saw this I smiled.
