WORKING IN TEA ESTATE

We went to Mzenga with Mbawemi women to deliver and hang beehives in the new 70 hectare location. On the way we met men working in a Tea Estate, well dressed and ready to go for tea harvest.

On our way back it was raining heavily and some men were still in the field. They are hard workers.

We were delivering 300 bee hives to 30 of our beekeepers, part of the Mbawemi womens cooperative. The women will sell back the honey for processing and sale.
Some of the profits will be used to feed the orphans and others at the Salisbury Line Orphan Daycare centre.
