Derwentwater at dusk

Deb and I had a day at LPH starting on all the work needed to get LPH up to standard for re-opening at the end of Jan. We were raking silicone out of showers, repairing dents and holes in walls (mostly caused by a towel rail falling off when a guests used it to support his weight) and making a room by room list of what we want to do to make it better than ever when we open.

Slipped round to the Ashness jetty at dusk and was surprised to see how deep the lake still is, well over the end of the jetty, I did like the lights on the far shoreline though. Some of you will know the tree in "extras" and that it's usually on the shore.

Both exposures were 2 minute exposures (despite the exif data saying 30") as it was getting a little dark! To keep the timing accurate, I used the multi-exposure function in the D800 with auto gain turned off to accurately time 2 minutes by doing 4x30" exposures as a multi.
