Christmas tree leaves

It's the first day of #AYearWithMyCamera and I've decided to collect photos of leaves; they won't all be real plant leaves.

I always feel a certain sadness about taking down my Christmas tree. It brings such light and color to the December corner of my family room. Past the darkest day; it's not all bad. I'm thankful for the wonderful celebrations I had with my family over the holiday period.
