Out Of Luck

These lucky charms (or omamori) have been disposed in a huge bin at Ikuta Shrine. At the start of the year, Japanese people buy a lucky charm at a shrine and throw away their old one. They usually hang their omamori on their bags or keep them in their purses.

On the subject of luck, I've had some good luck; my suitcase has been found and the Kansai Airport Authority will deliver it to my home tomorrow.
