Blondie

After a frankly rubbish day yesterday, me and Polly the whippet went for a wee braes hike in the afternoon half light, the type that signals snow is on the way. We met the herd up on the hillside just as the first flakes of snow fell. Polly was tethered, just in case, but was calm and quiet while I took some iPhone shots. The light up there was beautiful today, and the view all the way over to the cobbler was stunning.
A good wildlife watching day too, not only did I encounter this lovely herd, but I watched a lone diving cormorant at the first linn earlier, then a trio of elusive bull finches flit through the trees on my way home, a quick flash of bright red breasts and coal black heads were the giveaway.
