Veterinary Surgery

Had a tour of the university's vet school today. Fascinating! They have operating theatres for horses, with horse-sized gurneys, and "cat scan" machines for scanning... well, cats. There are windows on the operating theatres so students can watch what's going on; but as it's summer and there aren't many students about, those of us who weren't too squeamish got to peer in and see veterinary surgery in action. Very impressive! I'm sure this spaniel is now well on his way to recovery.
