Welcome to the jungle

A morning spent in, mostly unsuccessful, search for cockatoos and parrots.  However, plenty of other life on offer, with lizards, bats, bugs, birds and and a great amount of unnecessarily large spiders.

Had one Indiana Jones moment when I put my head in a web and a very large spider fell out onto my shoulder. Promptly slid off the footpath on my backside, trying to fend it off from my neck...

Eventually caught up with many beautiful cockatoos and parrots in the rehabilitation centre for those rescued from captivity and smuggling. Just a pity that there aren't more left in the wild.
