Remarkable feat

One or other of Matt's slippers often finds itself under the furniture. 

I've grown used to mistaking them for the cat, but this is the first time I've seen them placed like this. 

In future years, when people ask where I got my inspiration for the Monster That Lives Under The Chaise Longue series of children's books, I'll just smile enigmatically.
