We were hoping for a relaxing day today but after looking in the fridge, we realised how tired we must have been yesterday, as so many things were missing off the shopping list.

The nearest supermarket is over 60 miles away, so we took a slow drive north to Ullapool and stocked up.

On our return, the sun was about to go behind the mountains on the Isle of Skye, so we ran down to the beach with the dogs at Gairloch and I grabbed a few shots. The colours look unreal but that's the beauty of the Highlands.....it takes your breath away.
