Watendlath Bridge

Had a visit to Keswick today to drop some stuff off. Then parked at Surprise view and walked up to Watendlath. I was shocked to see the flood damage to the pack horse bridge there, it has "sagged" in the middle by the force of water on the structure. (Ashness Bridge is fine) One of my favourite bridges in one of my favourite locations. The temporary bridge maintains access across the beck there, and looking at the flattened grasses down the side of the waterfalls the depth of the water there during the floods must have been frightening.
