Hopeton01 - Childrens Apparatus

Seen earlier in an outdoor play area for children near to my house; I've never seen anything this shape before. It made me wonder if I would have been attracted to it when I was under 10 years old and how long it might have held my interest once I started playing.

Is it familiar to anyone out there?
And would you have been instantly drawn to it?
