Hyacinth

An enjoyable afternoon with a dear friend who called round. Toasted the New Year with a glass of wine, updated each other on our aches and pains and chatted about our days when we were dancing our socks off in Johnny Dankworth's modern jazz club and the 100 Oxford St trad jazz club then coming home on the milk train in the early hours ! Lots to look forward to this year including the arrival of great grandchild No 6, but sometimes it's nice to look back. This hyacinth in the pretty little vase was a Christmas present from my grandson and his wife, the new parents to be.
