Charleston, St Philip's Church

Hey Blippers, if you ever find yourself in South Carolina, I heartily recommend you visit Charleston.  During the next several days, I will share with you some of the wonderful things I have seen there.
This is the front gate to the church, the original church was built in 1680, and damaged by a hurricane.  The second church was damaged by fire in 1861 (during the civil war).  In 1886, an earth quake damaged the church.  A tornado has hit the church and hurricane Hugo did severe damage in 1989.
Many of the old gates are famous for their intricate craftsmanship.  This gate may have been built after Hugo, but it demonstrates the skill of the trade, even to this day.  One of the extras is the steeple of St Phillips during the late afternoon sun,  I really liked the shadows,
The second extra is the opening to the Market Street market.
