Oh what a beautiful morning!

The BBC weather app promised a sunny but cold morning and that is just what we enjoyed ..... the first sunny morning for what seems like weeks.

A good walk was certainly on the cards so L and I set off with a friend to walk a small part of the Forth and Clyde Canal.  Very icy in places but we all managed to keep our feet!  There were some lovely views along the canal but sadly, in the built up area around Maryhill, many people chuck their empty plastic bottles and polystyrene containers into the water.
The Applecross Basin though was beautifully clean.

The extra photo is a piece of stained glass in Maryhill Burgh Hall.  Stephen Adam made a series of small glass panels depicting industries and trades and this is his Canal Boatman walking along the banks of the canal with his horse pulling a barge.
