All good things

My belated Christmas present from Mme Tepeka arrived this week, slightly late but well worth waiting for.

It's a handmade fountain pen, lovingly-crafted in his spare time by a doctor in Canada. He produces some fantastic pens, and I've wanted one for ages.

Two-and-a-half years, in fact. That's how long I've been waiting since this pen was ordered. He has a bit of a backlog. (I think he may actually have forgotten about my order for a while.)

Now that I finally have it, I'm delighted with it. I've a milestone birthday coming up in 2018. I'd better ask Mme Tepeka to put an order in for another pen now if I'm to get it in time...
