In An Instant

'Corella Couple'

This morning I got up early and went down to Diamond Creek to see if I could capture the local flock of Corella's waking up.

It was bloody freezing, less than 0 degrees anyway. My fingers almost froze off. Had to sit in the car with the engine on and heater running to thaw them out before having a second session.

There are literally hundreds of them that seem to enjoy the gum trees down at the local shops. They make a hell of a lot of noise each night between around 5:30 - 6:30pm as they find their spot for the night, and then again as they wake up in the mornings.

Would have loved a stronger zoom lens to play around with for these ones.

Had to stop on the way back home to capture THIS.

While I was gone, Mrs Rosewarne was baking english muffins for breakfast which were sensational again.

We packed up the kids and headed out to Tarrawarra to see the Archibald prize finalists exhibition. It was an absolutely stunning day, totally blues sky, with the warm sun shining, a big contrast to the rest of the week where we had nothing but grey skies and cold wet days.

After we'd seen the exhibition we headed over to the Yarra Valley Dairy for a cheese platter for lunch. We always love visiting there, and today was no exception.

Headed home, played soccer with Dylan in the back paddock, then Dyl's and I headed out to the car wash for a long overdue wash and vac.

Mrs Rosewarne is cooking again now, a shepherds pie which smells delicious.

Good day today.
