The Clyde

The forecast was a bit better for today and we started out on a recce  walking along the walkway of the River Clyde to Inverkip Marina, and then going up through Daff Glen to Leapmoor Forest.  We started in bright sunshine, and it was lovely after all the rain we have had, but just before we stopped for a bite of lunch we had a heavy rain shower.  We took shelter in an electricity sub-station, where the very kind gentleman allowed us to eat our lunch in the furnace room.

We then walked through the forest towards Langhill, with some lovely views down to the river, although by now it was drizzling.  And back down to Inverkip, where we had a nice break for drinks in the Marina.

We did a good eight miles, and it was nice to get out even if it did rain on us.

My picture is taken from the Inverkip side of the Clyde, and showing Dunoon and the hills beyond.
