Plundering the Christmas Tree

According to Swedish tradition on the 13 January it is time to remove all traces of Christmas and advent.  All the decorations are removed from the tree, any sweets and chocolates that are left (fat chance!) are eaten, and the tree is thrown out.
The library’s house band is playing folk music while a small group of visitors and staff dance out the Christmas tree that has sat here since just before Christmas.
In Swedish this is called Christmas Tree Plundering (Julgransplundring).
