El Niño

I read today in the newspaper that we are facing the 2nd strongest El Niño of all times since they started to measure it. This means that in Brazil things will keep on the same way for more one or two quarters: a lot of rain in the south, causing floods and hurting agriculture; permanent light rain in the centre of the country, like here in Brasilia (very bad for our outdoor activities); an intense drought in the northeast countryside and coast (where are some of our wonderful beaches - good for tourists).
