Doisneau Science Photos

Not an exciting title, but a decent characterization of an exhibition at Paris's National Museum of Natural History, showing photographs by Robert Doisneau* which he took at the museum (and the Paris Zoo) in 1942-43 and 1990. The show is on the second and third floor balconies; here we're on the third and top floor, with a sense of the elegance of the building. * There are a number of sites for the show, all in French--except  seemingly for facebook, which has a number of views of the show.

Doisneau (1912-1994) is one of France's best-known photographers from the 20th century.  This is a little-known body of work which the museum itself appears to have recently rediscovered in its archives; I was very glad to have the chance to see it (it closes Monday), although it is certainly not of general interest.
