Karst Islands

We visited some of the impressive rock islands close to Koh Yao Noi.These limestone outcrops have some fantastic stalagtite formations and these days the swiftlet colonies have wardends to protect them from the daring young men who used to raid their nesting places high in hidden caves to collect the ingredients for 'birds nest soup'
