Mono monday Tradition

Canals were vitally important to the traditional way of life for Ellesmere, bringing goods and industry into the town.
The canal is still used for boats, but more recreational than industrial these days. The old shipping building has featured in previous blips, but thought it important in this theme. The flying ducks are also a huge part of life on the Mere so that was a lucky capture too. Shame they weren't swans but you can't have everything!
The extra is another art installation in the Mere Gardens. To me it means not sitting back and waiting for things to happen because they already are! So get out of your pj's and find them!
