Winter Wonderland
It was our intention to visit Glen Cassley, near Lairg today. The closer to the East coast we got, the more wintry it became. I don't think I've ever seen anything more beautiful.
Every tree was heavily draped in thick white frost, which contrasted beautifully against deep blue skies.
We discovered a bird hide on the outskirts of Lairg that we decided to visit on the spur of the moment. When we unlocked the wooden windows, Loch Shin stretched out before us. The vista was most unexpected and took our breath away. We didn't see any birds but it didn't matter :-)
It was very difficult choosing a Blip today but I picked this one, taken in the centre of Lairg.
My sincere thanks once again for your overwhelming kindness for yesterday's Blip. You are always so complimentary :-)
