Beschuit met Muisjes

Today is MonoMondays second birthday and so the theme is: Tradition

It is not easy to find something traditional on a normal Monday, but then I remembered that we bought some "Muisjes" on our last trip to the Nederlands.
There is a tradition in the Nederlands I have learned from my husband:
When you visit a family with a newborn child you will be offered
"Beschuit met Muisjes" that means "Rusk with smal Mice".
The "mice " are aniseeds covered with sugar. Sometimes they really look like smale mice. They are available in white-blue for boys and white-pink for girls ( - and sometimes in orange for a royal baby :-D) and they taste yummy on a slice of rusk with butter.  (and not only when you celebrate a newborn :-D  )
C.R. Ruijter started 1860 with the production of "Muisjes" so it has a long tradition :-D

I have had a wonderful day today.
The sun was shining on a cold winterday and I took my time to blip around and to have fun with Omo. You can see some results of the combination of both ;-) in the extras.
And there are brilliant news from our Fab 4 that blip will have a future.
Yes - a wonderful day :-D!!!!!!!
