Too Much Rain

The third day of fine, drenching rain. All around the garden I’m finding soggy bumblebees, too wet to fly.

The big Bombus terrestris queens and their little workers have dwindled away to be replaced by these Bombus hortorum. They have yellow and ivory stripes, compared with the terrestris' gold and buff.
