LIMITORQUE

A subtle touch is required to speed the water on its way, leaving the ancient gate undamaged.  The gearbox on a canal gate valve is electrically operated.  I suppose this device must be used to keep an industrial motor from damaging gears and other mechanisms designed for human power.  I love how the reflective number and letter stickers are transforming into clouds of white worms.  All of them used to look like the newer "4" in the middle.
