First day of the winter holidays, very cold, but very sunny!

Some friends came over to play. Here's R teaching everyone how to use a magnifying glass.

There was a point where I thought they might turn it on each other (esp Im ---> R) but eventually affection overcame the frayed exhausted spirits that accompany the end of term.

L would like me to note that the first day of the winter holidays does not actually occur until Monday. He must finally be recovering from the flu, since he has been too feeble for pedantry the last few days.
