An Ordinary Road

Thanks for your kind comments and well-wishes for the little one. She's on the mend, thankfully, and is in her own bed again tonight. Phew!!

I've not shown you this before since it's not pretty, but it's a constant sight around here. Researchers have tracked kangaroo movements and found they do have some road sense; they avoid crossing major roads and tend to do it only in the evening. If you're unlucky enough to hit a big one, you can write off your car. Worse is to hit one and not kill it. I'm very grateful I've never experienced that dilemma.

So here you are, the most common view of Australia's most common faunal icon. It's a bit sad.
